'Play The Hero' was used in a segment of the program Democracy Now. The program was an interview Mary Tillman (Pat Tillman's mother).
I'm not sure how they found the song. Visit Democracy Now to hear/see the interview.
They play a 30 second clip around 42:40 minutes into the program. There is a 30 video clip during he last verse and chorus.
Recently I made a decision to leave the Essentials.
I'll be playing a few more dates until they find my replacement. The commute of an hour each way for practice and gigging became too much of a burden. I wish them the very best luck.
I've been carrying lots of scraps of tunes in my head that may be end becoming real songs. One of these days I'll have to use all that recording equipment I bought.
